Boasting an impressive legacy spanning over 67 years, Anderson Process is a name\u00a0that\u2019s\u00a0become synonymous with value-driven fluid management solutions. The company\u2019s journey began back in 1958 with a single location in Wisconsin, but has since transformed into an industrial product powerhouse, providing a wide catalogue of fluid process equipment, including pumps, hoses, filters, mixers, heat exchangers, fluid fill systems, and custom-engineered systems to a multitude of market sectors across the US.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Dedicated to \u2018serving customers\u2019 needs from start to finish\u2019,\u00a0Anderson Process also offers a comprehensive scope of integrated services, including custom engineering and fabrication, CAD support, inventory management, hose tracking and testing, and aftermarket service and repairs. In 2025, the company was proud to report a record-breaking $100 million annual revenue \u2013 a monumental feat, representative of its focus on excellence and innovation. Now, Anderson Process is\u00a0bigger and better\u00a0than ever before, continuing its current growth trajectory and scaling the business to new heights.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Manufacturing Today sits down with Ryan Domino, President of Anderson Process, to learn more about the company\u2019s strategic expansion and ongoing evolution. He begins by\u00a0providing\u00a0some insight into the business\u2019 history and heritage.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAnderson Process originally started out as a small rep firm in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, under the name A.A. Anderson and Company Inc,\u201d Ryan shares. \u201cThe business began selling pumps, growing\u00a0organically\u00a0and adding a few new product lines to the mix as the company evolved. We then bought a small Chicago-based company in 1999 \u2013 Midwest Pump Sales Inc \u2013 and that kickstarted our geographical growth.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSoon, we were doing more than just pumps, and so we changed our name to Anderson Pump and Process. We then\u00a0acquired\u00a0a hose company in Wisconsin and another filtration distributor in Chicago, leading us to the breadth of product that we offer today,\u201d he continues. \u201cBecause of this, we changed our name again in 2016 to Anderson Process. From there, we continued to make more acquisitions \u2013 two in 2017, one in 2021, 2022 and 2023, which added a multitude of capabilities. All of this has made us the value-added distributor and manufacturer that we are now.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As Ryan states, Anderson Process has made a plethora of acquisitions throughout its journey, its most recent being Tighe-Zeman Equipment in 2023. In many instances, its dynamic M&A strategy has been key to unlocking new opportunities and market value, though its tremendous growth can be attributed to\u00a0a number of\u00a0factors.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFrom a macro-level, taking risks with acquisitions has been essential in getting us into new markets. Our goal is to\u00a0acquire\u00a0someone who has\u00a0similar products, personalities, and bordering geographies to us. These synergistic acquisitions create more opportunities for everyone,\u201d Ryan explains. \u201cFor example, in 2017, we bought Werner-Todd Pump Company in Indiana, which helped us break into the Kentucky and Ohio markets, and then in that same year we bought American Controls in Michigan, which helped us get into fluid filled systems and control panels in Michigan. Acquisitions play a big part in our growth because they bring people, customers, products, and ideas together, and ultimately get everyone moving in the same direction.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOn an internal level, we\u2019re pushing our people to step outside the box and take their own risks, making sure that every salesperson is comfortable selling every one of our products, which we feel has really driven more opportunities for them.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Such acquisitions and partnerships have been pivotal throughout Anderson Process\u2019 journey and expansion. In addition to\u00a0acquiring\u00a0new businesses and capabilities, the company is always keen to form strategic partnerships with partners who can further enhance its innovation and operational efficiency. One of these partners is Epicor \u2013 a software company providing advanced ERP solutions.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Ryan comments: \u201cWe use Epicor for everything we do and have a 20-year relationship with them. We started out as a simplistic pump distributor, but over the decades, have grown to have 1000-to-3000-line items within a single job, so\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0pushed Epicor to get more creative and help us to become more of a manufacturer.\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0been a key part of our innovation, helping us both to grow, and in 2024, we were the Epicor Innovation Award Winner.\u201d<\/span> \"a<\/span><\/p>\n

Above all else, however, passionate people\u00a0remain\u00a0at the core of Anderson Process. By fostering a strong corporate culture\u00a0centered\u00a0around collaboration, innovation and respect, Anderson Process\u2019 leadership team always pushes its workforce to be the best, celebrating wins and pushing\u00a0expertise\u00a0to even greater heights.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u00a0definitely like\u00a0to work hard and have fun. From the top level,\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0very much \u2018pushers\u2019,\u00a0trying to lead and getting people to follow, and the \u2018work hard, have fun\u2019 mentality is a key part of this. Our five core values are Growth,\u00a0Expertise, Teamwork, Community, and Embrace Change,\u201d Ryan elaborates.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cAs you grow, especially on a national scale, you start to see micro-cultures across different states and time zones, for example, so that \u2018work hard, play hard\u2019 ethos can be a little challenging. We often organize events to bring everyone together, such as summer picnics and attending various events;\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0important to show our people how they can make money and still enjoy their jobs.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

CEO Greg Domino agrees: \u201cOur vision has always been to create more than products but\u00a0rather build\u00a0solutions that empower our customers to grow stronger and more profitable. Since 2003, our twelvefold growth reflects a commitment to innovation, partnership, and excellence that will continue to drive us, and our customers, into the future.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As we near the end of 2025, Anderson Process is looking forward to the year ahead. Despite current macroeconomic challenges facing the US manufacturing industry, the company\u00a0remains\u00a0focused on growth and innovation, staying ahead of the curve to provide the\u00a0very best\u00a0state-of-the-art\u00a0solutions for its customers. People development will remain a priority for Anderson Process as it\u00a0leverages\u00a0new market opportunities, whether through continued acquisitive growth or by further expanding its capabilities.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cSome industries are having harder times than others. With the help of our diverse customer base, our goal is to keep on selling,\u00a0producing\u00a0and growing.\u00a0We\u2019re\u00a0working on a lot of different efficiencies going into 2026, particularly on internal training. Historically, we feel we have been more\u00a0cutting-edge\u00a0than many in terms of technology, so\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0also been focused on finding AI tools to help us stay ahead of the game, such as order and inventory automation. We want to help our people stay focused on the technical aspects of our industry,\u201d Ryan reveals.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI would hope to more than double the business within the next five years; that\u2019s going to happen through more acquisitions and by expanding our product lines,\u201d he concludes, optimistic for the future ahead. \u201cWe\u2019re\u00a0going to remain focused on adding value for our customers, bringing more engineering\u00a0expertise\u00a0to our work. Our growth\u00a0will come from building real solutions for our customers, not just selling them a part number.\u201d\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
