He eventually sold that business, and just as I was graduating from college, he asked me if I wanted to start a new company with him. Although it was an unexpected change of direction, I decided to take the leap, as I knew I would learn more from working with him than from any other path. Subsequently, my father was approached to provide a child-resistant packaging solution for pool chemicals. Our first shipment of this product was in 1989, and this type of packaging still accounts for a significant portion of our sales today. We expanded our creativity into new markets and introduced additional packaging, as well as designing custom solutions.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cToday, we manufacture and package a range of products across the pharmaceutical, chemicals, household, consumer, and food industries,\u201d he adds. \u201cFor customers looking for a custom solution, we\u2019ve established a dedicated manufacturing area, and we offer design assistance. While we manufacture pails and design packaging for some of the largest companies in the world, we are especially passionate about supporting small to medium-sized businesses with custom manufacturing solutions. We thrive working with large companies, but we are intensely devoted to providing smaller businesses with the same flexibility and agility as our larger clients.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">M&amp;M\u2019s custom pail and packaging design service offers a range of benefits, including enhancing brand value, meeting specific functional requirements, and ensuring sustainability and regulatory compliance. Its custom designs also allow businesses to quickly adapt to emerging market trends and evolving consumer preferences while enabling an increased level of innovative and creative freedom. As M&amp;M works across diverse industries, some sectors have specific requirements in terms of durability, chemical resistance, or food safety. A custom solution allows the client to work closely with M&amp;M to create a pail that is fit for purpose.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Aside from custom solutions, M&amp;M\u2019s extensive product portfolio includes traditional pails, Lite Latch, Super Kube, and Snap Lite pails, as well as several fittings and covers. Designed for maximum quality, value, and dependability, traditional pails are available in multiple sizes, a range of colors, and can be used for offset or heat transfer printing. The Lite Latch range offers an easy-to-open and lightweight solution that uses less plastic and FDA-grade raw materials. M&amp;M offers an innovative range of eco-conscious solutions, including post-consumer resin (PCR). \u201cWe are very proud to be one of the first packaging companies to use a co-injection process that utilizes PCR,\u201d Glenn shares. \u201cAdditionally, we are constantly investing in our research and development capabilities to innovate new products and tweak designs to enhance a product\u2019s sustainability credentials.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Indeed, M&amp;M\u2019s ReGenesis range reduces environmental impact without compromising quality. This durable solution is available in any size or pail style and can also be made using post-industrial resin or PCR. \u201cHowever, there must be strong customer demand for sustainable solutions, as they do cost more than traditional options,\u201d Glenn explains. \u201cPCR is more expensive to buy than regular virgin resin due to the breaking down process. As some customers address costs, PCR does not offer savings, but we do have some customers opting for our sustainable products despite the price difference.\u201d<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">It is clear to see M&amp;M has a commitment to sustainability in its processes, especially when it comes to the ReGenesis product range. With these principles at the forefront of its operations, the company will continue to innovate and grow, providing forward-thinking packaging solutions that meet complex and ever-changing requirements.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">As our conversation comes to a close, Glenn shares his thoughts on how the company will continue to flourish in 2026 and beyond. \u201cCurrently, we are bringing in more automation to enhance our manufacturing process, not to replace our people but rather to empower them,\u201d he says. \u201cManufacturing is an art that needs to be reinvigorated in the US, and we strive to do this through a combination of automation and personal development.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u201cIn terms of the future, we plan for organic growth of approximately eight-to-12 percent every year.
